Director, Supplier Quality and Development (US Division)Nexteer seeks a Director of Supplier Quality and Developmentto join our team.
This person is responsible for all facets of the US supplier quality and development function including strategic planning, execution, measurement and administration of quality systems and controls.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising, developing, staffing and managing the U.
SSupplier Quality organizationLead efforts to resolve poor supplier performanceOversee the supplier quality team, ensuring collaboration for supplier-caused quality issue resolution and shared lessons learnedCreate a high performing culture within the supplier quality groupOversee the development and coordination of training for Nexteer's direct material suppliersDrive quality improvement efforts Create and deploy quality systems and tools to facilitate world-class quality performanceRepresent senior leadership with customers to review issues, provide feedback and provide permanent corrective actionDevelop and communicate a quality strategic plan that will continuously improve the performance of the businessFacilitate quality deep dives with regional leadership to create visibility and implement corrective actions on top business and quality issuesDevelop a robust and effective quality and warranty system across global productsLead the supplier quality improvement efforts to achieve high quality performance from suppliers who provide direct materials to manufacturing plantsSupport sales and engineering by resolving top quality issues in the field for improved customer experience and loyaltyCollaborate with operational functions to troubleshoot manufacturing and production defects and customer complaintsDiscuss quality-related issues with regulators and monitor complianceFormulate and recommend QA, QC, and validation policies and programsDevelop departmental budget for quality assurance, validation and quality control, including defining materials, equipment and personnel needsEXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of quality experienceMinimum 5 years supervisory experienceAbility to lead supplier quality improvement efforts and drive best practices across multiple locationsDemonstrated leadership in organizational skills, project planning, team building, Six Sigma/DMAIC problem solving and experience and knowledge with world class quality systemsDemonstrated team building and leadership skillsSolid understanding of engineering technical issues/needs, financial, sales, and marketing as related to qualityManufacturing process or design knowledge in some of the following:
ferrous castings, die castings, tubing, stamping, manufacturing and assembly, plastics and rubber manufacturing, machined parts, electrical/electronicsHigh level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate and facilitate others in group situations and instruct others in new techniquesAvailability to travel domestic and internationallyEDUCATION AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering requiredMaster's Degree in Business or Engineering preferredStrong operational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong acumen for finance and business statisticsOTHER PREFERRED:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
