Ensures the quality and safe delivery of skilled and non-skilled home health services.
Performs client care when necessary.
Coordinates clinical services assuring compliance with standards of care, Agency policies/procedures and external regulations.
Communicates and records client and agency information with staff.
Coordinates case conferences, in-services and staff meetings.
Represents the Agency in the community.
Provides supervision of all nursing staff, therapy staff and home health aides/caregivers/direct care workers and reports to the Director.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Currently licensed as a registered nurse eligible to practice in the State of Michigan.
Preferred minimum of one-year experience in a Private Duty home health agency, supervisory experience desired.
Demonstrated knowledge of home health nursing and caregiving.
Willing and able to meet the agency need for professional nursing services.
Positive, professional interpersonal skills.
Meets CEU requirements for licensure Essential Job Functions and Physical Requirements:
Able to interact successfully with members of the medical/health profession.
Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with superiors, physicians, field staff, office personnel, field staff, clients/families and other business professionals.
Must be able to operate an automobile.
Possesses excellent customer relation skills.
Able to move, transport up to 150 pounds infrequently using assistive techniques and devices appropriate to manage the task.
Must be able to complete multi-tasks and meet multi-deadlines.
Able to work in a challenging environment.
Able to report for work on a regularly scheduled basis.
Typical M-F 8am -5pm schedule.
Some flexibility.
Has effective time management and excellent organizational skills.
Has access to personal transportation.
Able to use a telephone, see and hear sufficiently without the use of extraordinary assistive devices.
Must be able to successfully provide effective team support for both office and field staff.
Computer and Electronic Skills required.
