- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence - Organize and maintain physical and electronic files using document management systems - Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness - Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court hearings - Answer phone calls and take messages with proper phone etiquette - Transcribe dictations and prepare meeting minutes - File documents with courts and government agencies - Assist attorneys with research tasks and case management - Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and photocopying Skills:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills - Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities - Proficient in using document management systems - Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Efficient time management and ability to prioritize tasks Note:
Prior experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
