Job Details:
Certificate from a Health Unit Coordinator Program or equivalent education/experience. Schedules (books) surgical and other treatment/diagnostic procedures according to policy using computer boarding system. Responsible for the clerical duties of compiling, transcribing, preparing and maintaining records/reports within assigned unit. Assists in and coordinates the requests of the nursing staff and the physicians and ancillary departments. Acts as a central receptionist, providing information and communication service to patients, visitors, associates, and physicians, with use of appropriate age-specific consideration. Can operate several types of office machines, i.e. fax, copier, etc. Responsible for checking, batching, and processing of charges via the hospital and departmental computer systems. At least one year's previous surgical scheduling experience preferred. Computer experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
