The Supply Chain Coordinator IV/Supervisor role has overall responsibility for the execution of performance and people management for each of the teams within its accountability.
Specifically this includes operations, materials management, warehouse management and logistics management.
This role will lead OM&C with a LEAN, CE Way and Servant Leadership accumen.
It should be noted that the exact make-up of this team can change over time.
The SC Coord/Super will oversee and lead the team in store/stockrooms/MDC for the ordering, scheduling, delivery and management of materials for projects and operations.
The SC Coord/Super will escalate potential shortages and special material requirements to eliminate project delays on large, complex, or high-priority projects and initiatives.
Prepares documentation to track cost, discrepancies, and special needs.
Works with SC staff and Business Partners to provide day-to-day support for materials management, supports inventory management and procurement, and responds to questions and solves problems.
Collaborates with SC, suppliers, and Business Partners on coordination of procurement operations related to materials and waste elimination projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Servant Leadership:
Responsible for coordination and direction of the material services operation including directing the union workforce activities assure safe and efficient operation; managing material schedules to provide requested levels of service; coordinating, following-up on materials issues related to projects and procurement activities to support routine, planned, or emergency projects for Business Partners.
Engages with SC and CMS project teams on complex and high-priority projects to ensure materials coordination on behalf of SC.
Provides timely updates on status for emergent priority issues, works independently and take pre-emptive actions to ensure that materials from suppliers get to customer or project sites on schedule

Supplier Management:
Works with suppliers of materials, parts, and products to take the actions necessary to get the items to where they are needed in a timely and efficient manner.
Coordinates with internal and external shipping and logistics staff to provide any information needed by Suppliers or from Suppliers to expedite materials.
Develops and sustains relationships with materials suppliers.
Supports collaboration efforts with SC, Business Partners, and suppliers to improve business results

Project Coordination:
Serves on Business Partner project teams to provide and assists in the coordination of information and material flows between SC and BP teams.
Provides input into planning processes for routine and priority procurement of materials for CMS projects and initiatives.
Communicates with Business Partners and suppliers on project matters related to materials management

Inventory Data and Planning:
Works with SC inventory management and other SC staff to understand the availability and status of materials and parts in inventory.
Works with SC and Business Partners to reallocate materials across projects as project priorities change.
Assists users of materials across CMS in planning for materials and parts based on knowledge of inventory and supplier response times

Business Partner Relationship Management:
Works with SC and Business Partner project teams to ensure that their objectives and timelines are met from a materials coordination standpoint.
Adjusts and makes improvement to sustain SC supplier and materials strategy and compliance with CMS objectives.
Communicates vendor initiatives and improvements to Business Partners as appropriate

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to communicate with suppliers and business unit partners
  • Ability to be persuasive and build credibility internally and externally
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Vendor management, materials management, project management, or data management experience, preferably within the manufacturing, utility, or construction sectors

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or other related field OR equivalent experience/training
  • 3-5 years of directly relevant work experience, that may include Supervision, experience working on cross-functional teams, project management, waste elimination and LEAN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • LEAN experience/certification preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
